Syrup Glazed Ham
A syrup glazed centerpiece
Christmas ham with a homemade maple syrup glaze is sure to impress your family this holiday season. Serve hot or cold with veges, a salad and new potatoes.
Ingredients
- 1 Champagne pre-cooked ham (approximately 6-8kg)
- 3 Tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 cup Chelsea Maple Flavoured Syrup or Chelsea Honey Maple Flavoured Syrup
- 2 cups crushed pineapple
- Cloves
Method
- Preheat oven to 160°C bake (fan bake not preferable).
- Place rack in oven to lower level.
- Peel back rind of ham and discard.
- Place ham in baking dish. Score ham and place a clove in each square.
- Mix wholegrain mustard, maple flavoured syrup or honey maple flavoured syrup and crushed pineapple together.
- Pour evenly over the top of the ham.
- Pour a cup of water into the bottom of the dish to help prevent burning.
- Place in the oven until heated through and the top is golden (approximately one and a half hours).
