Keeper assist feeds Mohua

The Great Spotted Kiwi is by far the largest of all the kiwi species. Mohua, a Great Spotted Kiwi, had her bill damaged in an accident. She was brought to Willowbank where the staff spent several years teaching her how to eat again. At one stage she was being fed 500 worms a day! Now she is able to find her own food and behave almost normally. One day she may be able to pair with another kiwi at Willowbank and produce chicks that can be released back to the wild.
